Felicity von Lundgren

Felicity descends from a noble family going back centuries. Because of this, she has inherited her father’s crest, which allows her to occasionally heal herself in battle. Before she was even born, plagues of misfortune found her family. Centuries ago, a large portion of her family mysteriously disappeared, along with their sacred Relic after an alleged civil war within their territory. Although there is virtually no evidence to support this claim, legend says that a fraction of those who disappeared still live on in their descendants, possessing their magical prowess, though these alleged individuals have yet to be found.
Years before her birth, both her brother and uncle fell ill from a strange disease which caused both of them to lose themselves. Her brother died from this while her uncle was left insane. Reportedly, he had aggressive behavior, and it leaves some to wonder if this had to do with Felicity’s uncharacteristically grey eye. Self-proclaimed doctors offered their aid, though at the time, their help proved to only worsen the conditions of her uncle. While they remained in the family territory, Felicity was told to keep away from them after they proved to provide little protection for the young girl. This in turn, only piqued her curiosity, though she was ever cautious after her accident.
As a child, she was often left to her own devices as her parents seemed to pay more attention to other matters. They loved her, no doubt, but with their minds set on her ailing uncle as well as their crumbling territory, they had little time for her. Felicity often spent her time quietly in the library or if being inside was too dangerous, hiding in nearby woods, listening to the birds and watching the far away herds of deer.
At the age of fifteen, she was chased out of her home by her rampaging uncle, whose condition grew worse with each passing day. Over a period of a few months, she crisscrossed the continent, looking for refuge. Eventually, she was able to make her way into an underground community known as Abyss, where she stayed for the next year, poring over books in an attempt to find a cure for her uncle’s insanity. While underground, her research led her to discover something more worthwhile. The possible answer to an ancient question.
Eventually, she was offered a scholarship to the Officer’s Academy from a well meaning cardinal because of her renowned healing skills. Though she was told she needed to keep her abilities and eye a secret, she agreed and was sent to the surface for the first time in a year.
Though she hardly knows anyone there, she’s more than willing to give the Academy a try, and does her best to blend in with the crowd. However, given her secretive nature, it’s not hard to imagine that she’s caught the attention of a few of her more curious classmates.
